### Daily Devotional: Day 7 – Embracing God’s Promises

Date: October 31, 2025

Scripture Reading: Romans 15:13 (NIV)
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

Reflection:
Today’s world can often feel overwhelming, leading us to question where we can find true hope. However, as followers of Christ, we are reminded that our hope is anchored in the promises of God. Paul’s prayer in Romans 15:13 highlights that hope is not just a fleeting feeling; it is a gift from God that fills us with joy and peace when we trust in Him.

Inspiration:
Think of hope as a river flowing through your life. When you nurture your relationship with God through prayer and scripture, this river flows abundantly, bringing joy and peace even in the most turbulent times. Remember, hope isn’t about ignoring your struggles; it’s about believing that God is greater than your challenges.

Practical Application:
1. Reflect and Write: Take a moment today to write down three specific promises of God that resonate with you. Consider how they apply to your current situations and how they can shift your perspective towards hope.

2. Share Your Hope: Reach out to a friend or a family member and share what God’s promises mean to you. Encouragement is contagious—your words might uplift someone who needs a reminder of hope today.

3. Pray for Overflow: Spend a few minutes in prayer asking the Holy Spirit to fill you with hope, joy, and peace. Invite Him to help you overflow with this hope to those around you.

Closing Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of hope that comes from trusting in You. Help us to hold onto Your promises and share Your love and hope with those around us. May our lives reflect the joy and peace that comes from knowing You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
